MARBLE HALL UPDATE FOR OSCAR
Rachel Collins (email@example.com)- 12th October 2012
DCC will shortly be going out to tender to appoint a Design Team to work on the Marble Hall.
OSCAR members have shown a great deal of interest and passion for the refurbishment of the Marble Hall, and we would welcome OSCAR input into the project from these early stages. Given the workload within OSCAR at the current time, we understand that working groups are being set up to concentrate on different areas of OSCAR activity.
Therefore, if OSCAR members would be interested in setting up a Marble Hall Working Group to input on the design, the use and the management of the building this would be fantastic. In particular, we would love to have input from anyone who has historical knowledge of the Marble Hall, former employees, anyone with architectural and design interest, any possible end users of the services, or anyone with enthusiasm for bringing this iconic building back into use.
The Working Group would then send representation to feed comments and ideas into the wider Marble Hall Stakeholder group, which will include Derby City Council, OSCAR, Derby Homes, Rolls Royce, and other potential future users of the building.
Marble Hall Stakeholder Group meetings will shortly be set up, and dates will be circulated. I would be grateful if you could agree whether you would prefer meetings in office hours or evenings. Due to the variety of stakeholders who will need to attend, meetings will be held when the majority of people can attend, but ideally the meetings will be held in Osmaston. If OSCAR would like to host the meetings, that would be great, but there is no obligation on you and I can find alternative meeting space if you would prefer.
